RAB Designs a Natural Flood Management Solution for Agricultural Land in Shropshire

RAB Consultants designed an integrated natural flood management solution for agricultural land near Lea, Shropshire, following repeated flooding from surface water runoff and high flows from the nearby Rea Brook. Combining hydraulic modelling with practical engineering, the scheme uses flood storage scrapes, an earth bund, controlled outfall and agricultural bridge to improve resilience while maintaining access and the site’s agricultural function.
