What You Will Be Doing:
- Walking our rivers and coast to inspect flood risk assets.
- Conducting appropriate surveys and tests (e.g., photographic surveys, topographic surveys).
- Assessing viable design options to recommend the most suitable way forward.
- Developing detailed designs ready for construction.
- Overseeing construction sites and administering contracts.
- Surveying buildings at risk from flooding to recommend Property Flood Resilience measures.
- Writing reports with appropriate conclusions and recommendations using plain English.
What You Will Need:
- The ability and willingness to travel and work anywhere in the UK.
- Have good personal drive to succeed with a willingness to learn.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Have strong organisational skills.
- Have a desire to help and be empathetic to individuals and communities affected by flooding.
- Be competent in the use of relevant IT software.
