RAB Team Present at Environment Agency’s PFR Framework Launch Event

Back in December we proudly announced that RAB had been appointed as Primary Lot 1 Delivery Partner for the Environment Agency’s Property Flood Resilience 2 Framework in the Midlands hub (and reserve supplier in the North-East, Eastern and South-West Hubs).

The Framework is being launched this week at a two-day event in Birmingham, and several members of the RAB team were invited to give presentations on various aspects of the initiative. These include PFR Surveys, Options & Quality Assurance, for which we will be the main supplier to the Environment Agency and all Risk Management Authorities in the West and East Midlands.

Our Managing Director, Russell Burton, is one of those presenting, along with Principal PFR Consultant Andy McHugh (who is actually seen in the main picture – despite the reference to Russell Burton on the screen!).

The experience and expertise within our RAB Team is also being used to develop and deliver the industry training that all suppliers will need to complete within the first 12 months of the Framework. This work is in conjunction with the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and will ensure competent and consistent delivery in accordance with the PFR Code of Practice. More details of this can be found on the CIMEM website: Property Flood Resilience Industry Training – CIWEM.

Further details on the scope of the Framework can be found in our original news story back in December: RAB Appointed as Primary Lot 1 Delivery Partner for a Major Environment Agency Initiative. We are also looking to recruit several new roles at RAB to support this initiative and other client projects. Details can be found on our website careers page: Careers at RAB Consultants. If you need any further information or an informal discussion then please contact Andy McHugh, Principal PFR Consultant at RAB, via email andy.mchugh@rabconsultants.co.uk or through our head office 0330 2236475.
