RAB joins SME Climate Hub and commits to become a net-zero business

Our team at RAB Consultants see the impact of climate change in virtually every project we are involved with. And on a daily basis. That is why we are committed to reducing flood risk and increasing resilience within the places we work, live and play.

As a business we have already signed-up to the West Midlands Net Zero Business Pledge, which is aiming to lead the green revolution and become a net zero carbon economy by 2041.

We can now confirm, on a day dominated by the start of COP26, that RAB have also committed to the SME Climate Hub pledging to half our emissions by 2030 and become a net-zero carbon business by 2040.

SME Climate Hub is a ground-breaking global initiative which intends to generate a tipping point for mainstreaming climate action and building business resilience within SMEs, which contribute to 90% of global businesses.

Whilst the SME Climate Hub sets a minimum net zero target of 2050 to align with the business ambition for limiting climate change to 1.5° C above pre-industrial methods, we have gone a step further to ensure we are ahead of the curve to keep well below 1.5° C.

COP26 provides a turning point opportunity for all of us to make important strides towards net-zero, and RAB will be implementing methods to positively influence our clients, staff, and the planet on which we work, live and play.
