The whole team at RAB are proud and delighted to have heard this week that we have been selected as Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards Finalists in three categories:
- Professional Services of the Year
- Employee of the Year (Sophie Dusting)
- Learning and Development Award (Jessica Hipwood)
This is the tenth year that this prestigious event has been held, recognising and celebrating the very best businesses and individuals across the county. To be selected and shortlisted in three categories is a tremendous honour and recognition for all hard work and commitment of the team at RAB.

Sophie Dusting – RAB Consultants
Senior Resilience Advisor, Sophie Dusting, has become a national leader in business continuity, recently earning the Business Continuity Institute’s 2024 Consultant of the Year award. At RAB Consultants, her client-focused approach has driven contract wins, enhanced internal processes, and established the company as a key supplier to the Environment Agency. Sophie also helps to mentor staff members and create a collaborative culture within the team.
Jessica Hipwood – RAB Consultants
Joining RAB Consultants in 2020 during lockdown, Jessica Hipwood has become a driving force in the company’s engineering team. As a project leader and mentor, she’s contributed to award-winning national infrastructure projects, developed quality systems, and inspired the next generation through STEM outreach. Jessica is currently pursuing a first-class degree in Civil and Transportation Engineering with ambitions to achieve Chartered Engineer status by age 25. “Jessica’s talent, work ethic, and commitment to development are unmatched,” said Peter Batty, Director.
The Gala Awards evening will take place at Uttoxeter Racecourse on 10th July, where all the Finalists will be celebrated and the overall Winners announced. We will naturally be there to enjoy the evening, with fingers crossed for the Winner announcements in all three categories!
