Resilience Team support local Tiny Forest project

Everyone at RAB is committed to reducing our carbon footprint and this includes working with local community schemes. Our Resilience Team recently got involved with the Tiny Forest project, of which there are six close to our head office in Lichfield.

These were planted as part of the carbon offset for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games courtesy of Severn Trent Water and Earthwatch. They are amazing citizen science areas with 600 trees being planted in the area of a tennis court. As they are relatively newly planted, we needed to clear the weeds surrounding the trees and saplings to ensure their best chance of survival.

The team getting their ‘hands dirty’ included: Nicola Hemming, Claire Raw, Dr Rebecca Smith, Louise Wilson, Megan Roach, Sophie Dusting and Laura McGuire.
