RAB Team Tackling Three Peaks for Charity
There is a hint of irony that a company that specialises in reducing flood risk has decided to climb to the top of the highest places in England, Scotland and Wales! But in our defence we also specialise in increasing resilience, which will definitely be required given that we intend to complete the three peaks in just 24 hours!
In total there are 14 members of the RAB ‘family’ involved in the challenge, including several helping out as support team and drivers. We start with Ben Nevis before heading south to tackle Scafell Pike in the Lake District, then on to North Wales to conclude by climbing Snowdon. All in 24 hours on Friday 5th August, or at least that is the target!
We also wanted to use this as an opportunity to raise money for a suitable charity. And the team have chosen Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders). The non-profit, self-governed and member-based organisation supports those threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. Most of the areas that MSF work in can be extremely dangerous and yet they continue with their incredible work to improve the lives of others through vital medical and humanitarian aid.
We have set up a JustGiving Fundraising Page for donations which can be accessed through the following link:

We will keep you updated as the date approaches, and add some pictures and updates on the day itself.
