RAB delighted to be part of Environment Agency training award

The Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) has today announced the award of a project to design, develop and deliver accredited Property Flood Resilience (PFR) training on behalf of the Environment Agency (EA).

RAB Consultants are part of a small team of recognised PFR experts collaborating on the project alongside CIWEM. The training will be delivered to industry professionals, EA employees, and other organisations in the sector.

The collaborative delivery approach represents a major advancement in the PFR sector. It will represent best practice and rapidly become industry standard. The long-term benefits for property owners in areas that are increasingly at risk of flooding will be huge.

Andy McHugh, Senior PFR Consultant at RAB, was naturally delighted by the announcement: “We are proud of our work in the PFR sector, and the experience and expertise that exists here at RAB. Being included in the project team is testimony to that, and we are excited about both the award and the impact it will have on the whole PFR sector. This work will equip industry professionals with the skills to help protect countless properties up and down the country from future flooding.”

Full details of the award can be found on the CIWEM website. Further information on our PFR training can be found on our website, or you can contact Andy directly by email at: andy.mchugh@rabconsultants.co.uk
