Assistant Flood Risk Consultant (two positions, both Midlands based)

What you will be doing:

Surveying buildings at risk from flooding to recommend Property Flood Resilience measures.
Assessing flood risk from any source using existing data.
Walking our rivers and coast to inspect flood risk assets.
Conducting appropriate surveys and tests (e.g., photographic surveys, topographic surveys).
Writing reports with appropriate conclusions and recommendations using plain English.

What you will need:

The ability and willingness to travel and work anywhere the UK.
Have good personal drive to succeed with a willingness to learn.
Have good verbal and written communication skills.
Have strong organisational skills.
Have a desire to help and be empathetic to individuals and communities affected by flooding.
Be competent in the use of relevant IT software.
